Event Description: 
How can you get unstuck and move forward on the things that matter most to you in the New Year ahead? This professional development session will provide participants with tools to help streamline and balance the many responsibilities and commitments we take on as leaders. We will highlight best practices of prioritization and deselection that empower us to find greater harmony in our personal and professional lives. Participants will support one another by sharing their own challenges and successes, and build deeper connections to TEMPO & EWL.

Learning targets include:

• Understand urgency vs importance using the Task Priority Matrix
• Practice applying four deselection techniques to protect boundaries 

About Our Speaker:
Melissa Goltra is a managing partner at FOCUS Training. She devotes her energy to inventing original leadership programming, developing the talents of upcoming trainers, and directing and inspiring the growth of the business. She is especially passionate about developing women’s capacity for leadership and career growth. Melissa specializes in professionally coordinating and facilitating leadership programs and is an accomplished speaker. For over 20 years, she has facilitated interactive programming for tens of thousands of business professionals, students, and educators. She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is currently a member of various CTSO Alumni Association boards and the Pi Beta Phi alumni organization. Melissa is a Governor on the Lake Forest Open Lands Board and serves in leadership roles with The Allendale Shelter Club and Northwestern Lake Forest Hospitals Women’s Board. Melissa and her husband Andrew enjoy spending time together in Chicago with their daughters Katherine and Elizabeth and staying closely connected to family and friends. Melissa’s poise, charisma, and extensive experience give her an unmatched ability to share her message of excellence!
