TEMPO Selects St. Louis for First Expansion Beyond Wisconsin

Milwaukee-founded organization enters next chapter of growth after more than 50 years of advancing women leaders

After more than five decades of building Wisconsin’s most influential network for women leaders, TEMPO Milwaukee today announced its first geographic expansion beyond Wisconsin with the launch of TEMPO St. Louis. The milestone represents an important next chapter for the Milwaukee-founded organization and the culmination of years of strategic planning, market research and due diligence. It also marks the first time TEMPO will take the model, expertise and member experience it has built in Milwaukee and extend it to another region.

TEMPO Elects New Board of Directors as Organization Continues Legacy of Empowering Women Leaders

TEMPO members have elected new officers and directors to its 2026-2027 Board of Directors and TEMPO Foundation Board at the organization’s Annual Meeting, effective May 1, 2026. The leadership transition comes as TEMPO advances the next phase of its 2026–2029 strategic plan, deepening its commitment to engagement, value, advocacy and impact.

TEMPO Foundation Invests in 12 Women Leaders Through Professional Development Grants

The TEMPO Foundation, established in 2011 as TEMPO’s 501(c)(3) charitable arm, has provided more than $525,000 in educational scholarships and over $100,000 in professional development grants to both emerging and experienced women leaders in the Milwaukee community. TEMPO’s grants are specifically designed to invest in the professional growth of Milwaukee area women at every stage of their careers. The grants address a critical need in our region. TEMPO’s recent “Voices of Women at Work: The Milwaukee Experience” research —a survey of 212 women across Southeastern Wisconsin — revealed significant gaps in sponsorship, professional development access, and organizational support for women leaders.
