TEMPO Milwaukee Continues to Lead
#MeToo Conversations in 2019

The #MeToo movement has swept the nation over the past 18 months, and began trending locally more than one year ago, due in part to a survey TEMPO Milwaukee sent to its membership of women business executives to learn about sexual harassment on a local level. One year later, TEMPO Milwaukee wants to know about the movement’s impact on the Milwaukee business community, and we want to hear from women AND men. How has #MeToo affected dynamics between male and female colleagues and perceptions about sexual harassment?

As such, TEMPO Milwaukee has partnered with multiple organizations, including the MMAC, Greater Milwaukee Committee, Professional Dimensions, and Rotary Club of Milwaukee, to deploy a One Year Retrospective on #MeToo survey and garner responses from a more diverse audience outside of its membership.

The aggregated survey results and anonymized anecdotes will be shared with business media in early 2019, with the goal of providing local context that informs honest dialogue and real solutions.

TEMPO Milwaukee Survey: More Than Two-Thirds of Respondents Say They've Experienced Sexual Harassment on the Job

In January 2018, TEMPO Milwaukee started an important conversation with the Milwaukee business community with the release of its member survey results, which found 68% of members surveyed had personally experienced sexual harassment in the workplace. The results of the survey were compiled and shared with local business media, garnering significant media coverage and sparking local conversations on the topic.
