Betsy shares her story with us on May 17

Elizabeth (Betsy) Brenner is President and Publisher of The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.  She oversees Wisconsin’s largest newspaper, community newspapers and magazines, its websites, and related businesses. Prior to coming to Milwaukee, Brenner was president and publisher of two newspapers in the Pacific Northwest.  She had leadership responsibilities at The Denver Rocky Mountain News; The Miami Herald; and The New York Times. She began her career as a reporter at the Chicago Tribune.  In addition to sharing her insights as a 35 year veteran of the newspaper industry, Brenner will address the transformation of the publishing industry as news and information gets delivered in print, online and via tablet and mobile devices.

The 22nd Annual TEMPO Mentor Awards Luncheon was a smashing success! 

Congratulations to TEMPO Mentor Award Recipients: Lisa Froemming, Dr. Earnestine Willis and Deloitte (represented by Ruth Kalio-Mielke).  Each were honored on February 16th at the TEMPO Mentor Event Luncheon.  We were joined by the 2011 scholarship recipients, Juanita Wilson and Fabiola Rodriguez (click here to read more about the remarkable young ladies).

Deloitte has designated its scholarship to UW-Milwaukee;
Dr. Earnestine Willis has designated her scholarship to the Medical College of Wisconsin;
Lisa Froemming has designated her scholarship to the Columbia College of Nursing.

Next year, the three scholarship recipients will be invited to join us at the Luncheon on Thursday, February 21st, 2013.
