Date: Wednesday, October 1, 2025 4:00-4:15 | Networking & Registration Event Description: Join us for an in-depth presentation on the shifting federal legal landscape impacting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. We will cover key developments including recent court decisions, federal agency guidance, and executive actions. Following the presentation, participants will engage in facilitated roundtable discussions to exchange perspectives on how organizations are adapting, sharing practical strategies, challenges, and innovations in response to the changing legal environment. Meet Our Speakers: Rebeca M. Lopez Esq. is an Employment attorney at Godfrey & Kahn, S.C. and works with small, mid-size and large regional, national and international clients to address labor and employment issues that arise in their businesses. Her practice is largely dedicated to defending employers before local, state and federal administrative agencies and courts when they are faced with employee complaints relating to single plaintiff, as well as class and collective action wage and hour, discrimination and harassment complaints. She also assists clients with day-to-day employment matters, including accommodation requests, wage and hour obligations, and internal employment discrimination and harassment complaints. Rebeca works with clients to create and implement policies and practices that foster a respectful, productive and efficient work environment. She is also called on by clients to conduct internal investigations involving employee complaints. Rebeca graduated magna cum laude from Marquette University Law School and, while in law school, served as Business Editor of the Marquette Law Review and interned in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin for Judge Lynn S. Adelman. Prior to law school, She served as the Regional Coordinator and Office Manager of a United States Senator. Meg Kurlinski is a shareholder and Chair of Godfrey & Kahn's Labor & Employment Practice Group. Meg assists clients with a variety of labor and employment matters, including the management of day-to-day employment matters, drafting and enforcing restrictive covenant agreements, administering family and medical leave laws, advising on federal and state discrimination claims, conducting unlawful harassment investigations and drafting affirmative action plans.
