Description:
One of the common drivers among EWL members is finding ways to harness our skills, talents and resources to make a greater impact in our personal lives, professional careers and community commitments. We have invited Milwaukee-native Deanna Singh to speak to this topic at our November EWL Program Meeting.

Deanna has a diverse background as an accomplished author, educator, business leader and champion for marginalized communities. She will highlight her own experiences as well as lessons from her new book, Purposeful Hustle – Direct Your Life’s Work Towards Making A Positive Impact, including:

  • How to meet failure head-on with strategies you can use to surmount any challenge.
  • How to identify what is holding you back from living a purposeful life and how to use a fear mitigation strategy to stomp out fear in real time.
  • How to recognize what you already know and how to build on that knowledge.
  • How to work within the confines of an incomplete plan, little money, and scarce time.

Online registration is now closed. Please contact Kelsiee at [email protected] to register.

Singh earned her Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies from Fordham University, a Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University, and a Master's in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Free the Girls:
EWL's Community Involvement Committee has partnered with Free the Girls to designate the TEMPO Milwaukee office as an official bra drop-off site. With a goal of 200 bras by the end of 2018, the committee will be collecting gently used bra donations at November's Program Meeting to send overseas for sex trafficking survivors to sell and build a business from. Please bring any donations along with you to the event where we will have our "Chest of Drawers" available to drop off in.
