Event Description: Kate Knudson currently serves as the Director of the Office of Interparliamentary Affairs and Chief of Protocol for the United States House of Representatives. In her roles, Knudson serves as the primary point of contact for the House of Representatives with the Washington diplomatic corps, overseeing visits of heads of state and other foreign dignitaries to the U.S. Capitol. Further, she is responsible for managing the House of Representatives’ engagement with international groups that connect legislators from around the globe to promote collaboration, understanding and on-going dialogue on matters of international interest. Join us as we hear from Kate Knudson about how finding a strong “Sense of Self” and how staying true to yourself and your convictions leads to success. Kate will share tips on how to navigate this fast-paced life and how she has learned to improvise and overcome when life gets heavy. Kate will share her successes in how she has navigated through and overcome challenges by maintaining a true sense of self and rising above. Kate will also share experiences from her more than 15+ years in Congress, along with her tips for balancing busy work life with her busy family life. Attendees will walk away with a renewed sense of perseverance and appreciation for how these tips can be applied to all of us in our careers. About Our Speaker: Knudson earned a bachelor’s degree in education summa cum laude from Augustana University in Sioux Falls, SD and holds a master’s degree with honors in Government from Johns Hopkins University.
