TEMPO is proud to introduce a collaboration between its Emerging Women Leaders (EWL) community and Marquette University's Graduate School of Management made possible through the generous support of the TEMPO Foundation and Marquette University's Institute for Women's Leadership (IWL). The Emerging Women's leadership program - Elevate - is divided into four comprehensive areas to ensure a holistic approach to leadership development, combining theoretical foundations with practical, hands-on skills. This dual approach ensures that participants not only understand key leadership concepts but also know how to apply them in real-world scenarios. By focusing on these areas, the program aims to prepare women leaders to confidently step into senior leadership roles, drive organizational success, and foster inclusive and effective leadership.

This is intended for the EWL “New Executive Leader” persona. This woman has held leadership positions for several years and is now ready to step into her C-suite or senior-level positions.

Ideal candidates for this persona include:

  • Active member of EWL for a minimum of two years. 
  • Currently matched with a TEMPO mentor.
  • Women with a proven track record in leadership roles, who have held multiple positions over the span of several years.
  • Individuals with less than 5 years of senior-level or executive leadership experience.
  • Entrepreneurs who have successfully run an established business for 3-5 years and are ready to scale their impact.
  • Women who are 1-3 years away from meeting the TEMPO leadership profile.
  • EWL Members who indicate interest in rising to TEMPO in EWL Annual Member survey (January). 
  • EWL Members who indicate availability to participate in full six weeks session. 
  • Participant and/or employer able to cover enrollment costs. 

  • Enhance self-awareness and personal leadership identity.
  • Prepare participants for strategic roles and higher responsibilities.
  • Equip leaders with skills to inspire and influence others effectively.
  • Provide tools and strategies for leading and managing change within organizations.
  • Apply learned skills by developing an impactful leadership project.
