TEMPO'S EMERGING WOMEN LEADERS WELCOME 44 NEW MEMBERS
Community now includes more than 360 mid-career women

MILWAUKEE - (December 7, 2021) - TEMPO is pleased to announce continued growth and interest in its Emerging Women Leaders (EWL) group with the recent addition of 44 new members. EWL, which launched in December 2015 with 40 members, provides networking and professional development for high-achieving, accomplished mid-career women. Membership now totals 368 women leaders representing 245 public, private and nonprofit organizations from throughout southeastern Wisconsin.

"EWL celebrates six years this month, and continues to attract Milwaukee's rising stars, community-minded changemakers and inclusive up-and-coming leaders who want to grow personally and professionally," said Jen Dirks, president and CEO of TEMPO. "Throughout the pandemic and amid our return to a "new normal", we have seen record interest in both EWL and TEMPO. More than ever, professional women need space to connect, grow and learn."

Candidates are admitted to EWL biannually via nomination, based on this criteria. Among the program’s offerings are professional development, committee involvement, volunteering and networking opportunities. EWL members can also receive individual mentoring by TEMPO members and/or from their EWL peers in a small group setting. EWL members can move into TEMPO once they meet this membership criteria, with sponsorship/nomination by a TEMPO member. To-date, 21 former EWL members have been nominated and accepted into TEMPO. TEMPO's membership is currently composed of more than 460 members who hold senior, executive and C-level roles from 300+ organizations across Southeastern Wisconsin.
