TEMPO Milwaukee's Emerging Women Leaders Initiative Surpasses 100
Mid-career professionals drawn from broad array of area businesses and industries

MILWAUKEE—(March 21, 2018) — TEMPO Milwaukee is pleased to announce that its Emerging Women Leaders initiative has passed 100 in membership,  just two years after it was established.

TEMPO Milwaukee launched the Emerging Women Leaders (EWL) initiative in December 2015 to support the area’s growing pool of professional women who are in mid-career and heading for the executive ranks. Now beginning its third year, more than 100 women representing 70+ companies are actively engaged in the program, whose mission is to connect and foster emerging women leaders.

“It’s been a distinct honor to work with TEMPO Milwaukee colleagues to develop this initiative over the past several years,” said Marilyn Krause, principal at Krause Communications and EWL chair. “And it’s an absolute privilege to champion this next generation of Milwaukee’s leaders.”

Candidates are admitted to the EWL program via nomination, based on this participant profile. Among the program’s offerings are opportunities for professional development, community involvement, and social and networking events. Participants can also receive mentoring by TEMPO Milwaukee members.

“Our mission is to further the impact of women leaders in our community,” said Tami Garrison, community affairs at MillerCoors and TEMPO Milwaukee’s board chair. “Our Emerging Women Leaders initiative personifies that goal and allows us to identify and support these exceptional professionals as they advance in their careers.”
